~ a call to Joseph Jengehino’s [Ghost Of The Animal]

Dear Joseph Jengehino-

these are mine:

~

nostalgia is wasted on the young

and

the robot
drops
the foreigner’s
crystal ball

~

they were given
to me
by these
which are yours:

(my mind cleared
and became authentic)

(until there was famine inside my chest)

(as heritage, or journey,
or lullaby is baptized)

(I want to see dark Ohio)

(and rips off her clothes
to encourage us to weep)

~

yours are in your book, Ghost Of The Animal

I hope some will go there.
I hope some will bring.
